A young girl plays with a cute kitten, and is tricked by a serial killer. As she is kidnapped, she drops the kitten, who watches as her owner is driven away.
Later we see the kitten unharmed, being cared for by another member of the family.

As her only daughter leaves for her wedding, battle-axe Emma sees their neighbour out to wish her well. Spotting the woman is carrying her pet cat all Emma can say is "I do with you would keep your cat off my geraniums."

The Cat.
Following a blazing row at a dinner party, where plates are overturned, and food spilt, the pet cat is seen making the most of the suddenly available food. Unfortunately, like most horror films, later we find out the cat has been killed and trussed up as a warning.

the perfume of the lady in black (1974)

Chopin.
Woman who is suffering from an unknown trauma is scared by the old black cat routine, as a cat suddenly appears as if from nowhere. We later see a neighbor with 'Chopin' complaining that a taxi driver wouldn't let her in his cab with him. With 'Chopin' adding his complaints to the conversation. Later 'Chopin' goes missing and a dead black cat is then given to the central character, who then takes it to a taxidermist.
