rubin and ed (1991)

'My cat can eat a whole watermelon.'
Rubin keeps his dead cat in the freezer, but is persuaded to find somewhere nice to bury him. On his journey to find the perfect spot he dreams that his cat can waterski! And yes, it is obviously a puppet!

Later we see a real cat in an alleyway as Rubin and his unlikely companion Ed argue their way through town.

Inveterate gambler Sammy Lee is desperate to find some cash and to get his cat in! Oscar turns up after three nights out on the tiles, not at all fussed about the stress he's causing his room-mate. 'You stay out on the lash for three nights, and then when you come back all you can do is eat!'

Woman's pet cats decide to literaly claw her eyes out. In gruesome detail! As long as you think gruesome detail is three obviously stuffed cats 'attacking' a rubber mask!

A naive man invents a gadget that makes him a fortune. As a millionaire he is tapped up by a priest worried about the prevelence of cat juggling in South America, and shows him a film of a cat juggling event. Lots of cats are seen held by audience members as a man juggles three (obviously false) kittens.

Rooster Cogburn's lazy house cat. He leaves the rat catching to Rooster, then takes the spoils. Cogburn later shows he knows more about cats than most when he states, 'General Price don't belong to me. Cat's don't belong to nobody, he just rooms with me.'
