sherlock holmes and the pearl of death (1944)

Someone breaks into a house, disturbing the pet cat, who in turn disturbs the owner, who swears blind "I let that cat out". Fortunately for the cat it scoots off; unfortunately for the man he runs into the burglar with fatal consequences.

A crime boss looks to recruit a man to his gang, but wants to check how ruthless he is. He does so by placing his pet cat on a guillotine. The man saves the cat, although being a cat it manages to protest before running off.

From his first appearance in the fridge eating all he can get his paws on, to wearing a bonnet and sucking a child's dummy, and chasing dogs in the park. The part is so demanding Angus was actually played by two cats, Benny and Jimmy.
