and then there were none (1945)

Ten people are stranded on an island, where someone is killing them one by one. Whilst looking for clues, two of the potential victims see a cat hiding in a wood pile, and one comments, "...are we the cat or the mouse?"


Then when the killer reveals himself, to explain his cunning plan, he does so whilst stroking a cat, and a certain evil genius thinks, "that's neat, I'll do that when explaining my fiendish plans to James Bond!"

the invisible woman (1940)

A professor tries to convince his backer that he's invented an invisibility machine. He tells him that he made the cat invisible,
'But I can see the cat', states the businessman. Only to be told that, of course he can see the cat as the invisibility wears off!

Later the professor tries to convinve the backer again, turning up with a woman he has made invisible, who uses a cat as a prop, making it fly through the air. The cat takes it all in its stride, and the businessman is convinced! Well its not every day you see a cat floating through the air.

you nazty spy (1940)

The stooges are paperhangers in Moronica, caught up in the overthrow of the king. Their end is not a good one, eaten by lions, their demise finished with a lion burping contentedly after having his fill.

sleepwalkers (1992)


Clovis.
The local sheriff's pet cat saves the day, by coming to the aid of a women being attacked by a shapeshifting creature that needs her blood. For cats are the one thing that they are scared of. Good job the sheriff drives around with his cat whilst on duty!

Meanwhile the shapeshifters house is becoming ever more attractive to the neighbourhood cats. 'There's a lot of cats.' Unfortunately not all of them survive, but those that do exact a terrible revenge.
