A Satanist puts a curse on a scientist investigating his cult. When the scientist breaks into the Satanists home, he's met by a black cat that turns into a leopard and attacks him, then back into a harmless cat.
Grimalkin is an old English word for an old or evil-looking female cat, though interestingly the cat in this story is referred to as male.
