Cat.
Margaret Fuchs receives an ancient Egyptian ring with a red stone as a birthday gift from her Egyptologist father, and takes it to show her boyfriend. At his flat she immediately is attracted to his pet cat, picking it up and stroking it, whilst chastising him: 'You don't feed him enough, he should be gorged and fat and purring.' This is a sign of things to come, as we all know Egyptians loved cats.
According to publicity photo's the cat's real name was Puddy.
