Sci-fi actioner, based on the comic, where young demon Hellboy helps keep the world safe from others like him. Amongst his quirks is a liking for cats. As one character says, "he's got a thing for cats."
So scenes in his room always have a few cats exploring the place.
Later whilst battling a demon, he rescues a box of kittens, who seem quite interested in the mayhem going on all around them.
